I recently deleted my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook (well, I “deactivated” my Facebook because I couldn’t bear to loose all those contacts for the sake of networking). I’m not sure entirely why I did it, I guess I just felt like it. I’m always torn between the social media advantages and the lameness of it all. I’m curious – what do you think about applications like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook?
Anyhow, amidst my hipster-diva-moment of deleting about half of the applications on my iPhone, I of course had to immediately find some new ones to fill all the sad empty spaces, and that’s how I discovered Rhonna.
Rhonna (Designs) lets you add cute little stamps and frames to your photos. It also includes filters and masks to make your pics look oh-so-vintage, or saturated, or aged .. or whatever your Insta-crutch is. (Hey, I’m not hating, I live for Lo-Fi.) The options are limitless and it all really depends on what you can think up. For a girl who loves Photoshop, I think it’s really cool that it lets you dabble in design, not just picture editing.
Here are a couple of pics from this summer that I used with Rhonna.
My little sister Shelby at Lake Don Pedro this Labor Day.
My kitten Marina in front of the Jackie O Reservoir in Central Park.
Miss Megan bike riding from Venice to Marina Del Rey last Saturday afternoon.
Has anyone else used the Rhonna app? If so, I want to see how you embellished your photos!
