This was a day that included purchasing $2 jellies from the bodego, discovering how to eat lychee for the first time, chowing down at New York’s first pizza parlor, lemon ice vendors and walking the Brooklyn Bridge.
I still don’t know what this thing is called, but I made poor Marina and Joe wander around DUMBO in sweltering heat until we found it.
They were good sports.
DUMBO’s Iconic Water Tower.
The moment above was undoubtedly my favorite moment of the whole trip. There’s something so perfect about lying under the bridges, looking over to the Manhattan skyline and doing absolutely nothing with absolutely nowhere to be. I think if I lived in New York this is where you would find me most of the time, with a good book and an iced coffee.
Then we conquered the Brooklyn Bridge.
